Free Workshop: Building Blocks for Non-Profit Board Members

During the workshop:
Presenter Katie Campbell of the Virginia Network of Non-Profit Organizations will help individuals:
• Understand key characteristics of nonprofit organizations;
• Know the top ten responsibilities of Board members;
• Gain a sense of what makes a successful Board;
• Reflect on their decision to serve on a nonprofit Board as a form of volunteering; and
• Learn where and how they can get more information and become involved
About the Presenter:
Katie Campbell has worked in the field of nonprofit and volunteer management for over 30 years as practitioner, author, trainer and leader. Currently working as an independent consultant, she assists public and private nonprofit organizations in accomplishing their mission through effective and efficient management of people and resources. From 2004 to 2006, Katie helped establish VANNO, the Virginia Network of Nonprofit Organizations. She has assisted many small and mid-sized nonprofits with board development and strategic planning, and has also served as a board member herself for local, statewide and national organizations.
